A rich and diverse survey of current studio practice in Australian ceramics.

Exhibition Opening Nov 1 2020
It all begins with an idea.
Helen Stephens Gallery in Collector has been kind enough to give me, my father, Alan Howard and my mother, Robbie Howard, her lovely space in Collector for a show of our work.
My father and I have been working together over the past few months in our shared studio in the shearing shed and my mother has been continuing to build on her oil painting practice, both here in Collector and in her studio in Canberra.
The shearing shed has felt like a world away from this upside-down year. It has given me the space and time to be contemplative, and settle into the rhythms of making - often the same or similar shapes, with only slightly different variations, constantly working and refining.
The show at Helen Stephens Gallery will continue for 6 weeks from November 1.
